Robot overview

The DEEP Robotics X30 Pro is an industrial quadruped designed for inspection and site-access tasks in environments where wheeled robots and conventional inspection equipment may struggle.

Its value lies in combining all-terrain movement with environmental perception, autonomous-navigation potential and support for specialist inspection payloads.

DEEP Robotics lists X30 Pro at approximately 59kg including battery, with a maximum speed of at least 4 metres per second, slope capability up to 45 degrees and obstacle capability of at least 20cm. It carries IP67 protection and a listed operating-temperature range of –20°C to 55°C.

Manufacturer-published endurance is between 2.5 and four hours, with a stated travel range of at least 10km. Actual performance will depend on route, payload, speed, temperature, autonomy and inspection workload.

The Pro configuration adds a broader range of payload and development interfaces, including USB 2.0, USB 3.0, Ethernet, Wi-Fi and 5V, 12V and 24V power outputs.

For UK users, X30 Pro is best assessed as an industrial inspection and mobile-sensing platform rather than a general-purpose robot. Its strongest applications are likely to involve repeatable patrol routes, remote data collection and access to areas that are difficult, time-consuming or hazardous for people.

Industrial-grade environmental protection

X30 Pro carries manufacturer-listed IP67 protection and is designed for operation between –20°C and 55°C.

This makes it relevant to wet, dusty, outdoor and temperature-variable environments, subject to the complete payload and deployment configuration meeting the same site requirements.

Difficult-terrain mobility

The platform is designed to traverse stairs, slopes, uneven ground and industrial obstacles.

DEEP Robotics specifically highlights open-riser staircases and changing industrial environments as areas where the X30 platform’s motion and perception systems are intended to provide an advantage.

Fusion perception in variable lighting

X30 uses fused perception to support navigation under bright, dim, flickering and dark conditions.

This can be particularly relevant in tunnels, underground infrastructure, power facilities and sites where lighting cannot be relied upon throughout the complete inspection route.

Inspection endurance and charging options

The platform provides a listed operating time of 2.5 to four hours and supports quick battery replacement.

DEEP Robotics also offers autonomous-charging capability for selected X30 deployments, allowing repeated inspection routes to be structured around a docking station.

Pro-level integration interfaces

X30 Pro includes expanded data and power connections for third-party payloads and development work.

This makes it the more appropriate X30 configuration where the project requires thermal cameras, gas detection, acoustic sensors, specialist inspection instruments or integration with a wider autonomous-inspection system.

Where the environment combines longer travel distances with narrow access, stairs or difficult terrain, the LYNX M20 Series may offer the better fit.

DR02 becomes more relevant where environmental resilience must eventually be combined with human-scale reach, two-arm manipulation or interaction with tools and infrastructure designed around people.
