Robot overview

Digit v5 is an enterprise-ready Mobile Manipulation Robot (MMR) that prioritises utility over human mimicry. Its signature "backward-facing" legs allow it to navigate stairs, move through narrow aisles, and crouch lower than traditional humanoids to reach bottom-shelf inventory.

Integrated with the Agility Arc™ cloud-based fleet management system, Digit is designed for "Robotics-as-a-Service" (RaaS) deployment. It doesn't require a facility redesign; it walks where people walk and works where people work. As of 2026, Digit is the only humanoid to pass OSHA-recognised safety field inspections, allowing it to operate in "cooperative zones" alongside human employees without industrial fencing.

Key
Technical Breakthroughs
  • The "V5" Power Upgrade: The 2026 model features an increased payload capacity of 50 lbs (23 kg)—a significant jump from the previous 35-lb limit—enabling it to handle the heaviest standard totes in e-commerce fulfillment.
  • Advanced Navigation Stack: A complete redesign of the navigation software allows for "minimum-step" pathing. Digit now solves for the most efficient footstep pattern in real-time, reducing energy consumption and increasing cycle speed in congested areas.
  • Tactile "End-Effectors": The new v5 hands are specialized for the "pinch and pull" motions required for plastic totes and cardboard boxes, utilising high-friction contact pads that adapt to varying surface textures.
  • Cooperative Safety Sensors: Using a fusion of LiDAR and "Soft-Touch" skin, Digit can detect human presence within millimeters. It automatically adjusts its gait and speed to maintain a safe distance, making it the most "human-friendly" industrial humanoid in the field.
Deployment
+ Scalability
  • The RoboFab Scale-Up: All Digit units are produced at RoboFab, the world’s first high-volume humanoid factory in Salem, Oregon. The facility is currently ramping up to a capacity of 10,000 units per year.
  • Proven Commercial Success: Unlike many of its competitors, Digit is already generating revenue. It is currently deployed in multi-year agreements with GXO Logistics (Spanx fulfillment), Amazon (tote recycling), and Mercado Libre (Texas fulfillment operations).
  • Global Expansion: Following successful pilots in the US, Agility has expanded Digit’s footprint into Latin America and Europe in 2026, targeting the global labor shortage in the $15B humanoid market.
  • Enterprise Integration: Digit is "plug-and-play" with major Warehouse Management Systems (WMS). Most facilities can go from unboxing to "first-tote-moved" in less than 48 hours.
