Robot overview

Figure 03 represents a ground-up redesign of the humanoid form factor, moving away from the "exposed machine" aesthetic of the Figure 02 to a production-ready, consumer-friendly design. It is the flagship vessel for Helix, Figure's proprietary AI brain, which enables the robot to learn complex tasks - such as folding laundry or sorting industrial fasteners - entirely through visual observation and natural language interaction.

Unlike its predecessors, Figure 03 is built for the "BotQ" mass-production facility, utilising die-casting and injection molding to drive down costs. Clad in a removable, washable "soft-good" textile skin, it is designed to operate safely and approachably in high-traffic environments, from crowded distribution centers to residential kitchens.

Key
Technical Breakthroughs
  • The Helix™ AI Core: A next-generation Vision-Language-Action (VLA) model that processes visual data 4x faster than previous versions. Helix allows Figure 03 to reason through unscripted scenarios and communicate its intent via natural speech.
  • Tactile Fingertip Intelligence: New sensory fingertips can detect forces as light as 3 grams (the weight of a paperclip). This high-fidelity haptic feedback allows the robot to distinguish between a secure grip and a slip, making it uniquely capable of handling delicate or irregular objects.
  • Redundant Palm Cameras: In addition to its head-mounted sensors, Figure 03 features wide-angle cameras embedded in its palms. This provides close-range visual feedback when the robot’s "eyes" are occluded, such as when reaching into a deep shelf or a dark bin.
  • Wireless Inductive Charging: Eliminating the need for manual docking or cables, Figure 03 features 2 kW charging coils in its feet. The robot simply steps onto a charging mat to autonomously top up its 2.3 kWh battery, enabling near-continuous 24/7 operation.
Deployment
+ Scalability
  • Industrial Validation: Building on the success of the Figure 02 pilot at BMW’s Spartanburg plant, Figure 03 is currently being deployed in "Workforce Packs" for logistics and automotive assembly.
  • High-Volume Manufacturing: Production is scaling at Figure’s dedicated BotQ facility, with an initial capacity of 12,000 units per year and a roadmap to exceed 100,000 units by late 2029.
  • Supply Chain Verticalization: To ensure enterprise readiness, Figure has vertically integrated its supply chain, designing and building its own high-torque actuators, UN38.3-certified batteries, and sensors in-house to bypass external bottlenecks.
  • Global Distribution: Strategic partnerships with companies like Brookfield (with 100,000+ residential units) are accelerating the transition from factory-only use cases to large-scale residential and commercial property management.
