Astribot

Astribot is a Shenzhen-based AI robotics company founded in late 2022 with the stated vision of giving “billions of people” an AI robotic partner and accelerating human–robot co-existence and co-creation. Its technical pitch is a “Design for AI (DFAI)” software–hardware integrated architecture that tightly couples AI capability with robot operation, aiming to make data collection, learning, and real-world interaction more human-like.

Astribot’s primary robot is the Astribot S1, described as an AI humanoid robot built to unlock service and research possibilities. The company markets S1 as matching adult-male operational parameters and highlights high-speed, high-precision manipulation: 7-DoF per arm, 5 kg payload per arm (horizontal reach), end-effector speed ≥10 m/s, acceleration around 100 m/s², and ±0.1 mm positioning repeatability. It lists 170 cm height, 80 kg weight, and 4–6 hours endurance with support for plug-in power, noting this version is designed for scientific research with some performance parameters “unlockable.” Public demo coverage has shown S1 performing household-style tasks (e.g., cooking and tidying), and reports describe the platform as a human-like upper body paired with a wheeled base in at least some showcased configurations.

“Currently available” for Astribot is essentially the S1 platform, sold/engaged via enterprise and research outreach rather than a mass retail model. Looking ahead, Astribot emphasises a growing toolchain - APIs, visual development, simulation support, and VR teleoperation - for faster model validation and continual capability upgrades, positioning future “robots” as ongoing S1 evolution plus data/model solutions for embodied AI partners.
