Robot overview

Standing 177 cm (5’8”) tall and weighing 52 kg, CyberOne is a full-scale humanoid that prioritises perception and cognition. Unlike purely mechanical workhorses, CyberOne is built around the Mi-Sense depth vision module, allowing it to perceive the world in 3D and recognize 85 types of environmental sounds alongside 45 classifications of human emotion.

In 2026, Xiaomi has begun the phased implementation of CyberOne units into its smart EV factories. Here, the robot serves as a mobile inspection and logistics unit, utilising its AI to identify production anomalies that traditional sensors might miss. Xiaomi views CyberOne not just as a standalone product, but as the "vessel" for the AI that will eventually coordinate entire automated household and factory ecosystems.

Key
Technical Breakthroughs
  • MiAI Emotional Engine: CyberOne features a proprietary vocal and visual emotion identification engine. This allows the robot to detect human distress or happiness and respond with appropriate gestures or via its curved OLED "face" display, making it uniquely suited for collaborative environments.
  • High-Efficiency Upper Limb Actuators: Xiaomi developed ultra-lightweight (500g) motors for the upper limbs that deliver up to 30Nm of torque. This allows for a "gentle touch" precision (up to 1Nm), enabling CyberOne to handle delicate components or perform intricate tasks like playing instruments.
  • Instantaneous Peak Torque: For lower-body stability, the hip joint actuators deliver an instantaneous peak torque of 300Nm. This power, combined with self-developed bipedal control algorithms, allows the robot to maintain a natural and stable gait even on uneven factory floors.
  • Real-Time 3.5D Mapping: Beyond standard 3D mapping, CyberOne uses "Mi-Sense" to create 3D virtual reconstructions of its environment in real-time, allowing it to navigate complex, unscripted spaces without pre-programmed paths.
Deployment
+ Scalability
  • Factory-First Integration: As of 2026, Xiaomi is actively deploying CyberOne units within its own automobile plants. The robots are being used to monitor die-casting quality and assist in parts delivery, serving as a live pilot for broad-scale industrial rollout by 2030.
  • Open-Source Innovation: Xiaomi has committed to building an open-source robotics platform based on CyberOne’s hardware and software stack. This strategy aims to accelerate the ecosystem by allowing third-party developers to create specialized "skills" for the robot.
  • Scaling via EV Synergy: By leveraging the same AI vision models and sensor hardware used in Xiaomi’s SU7 and SU8 electric vehicles, the company is able to drive down the cost of CyberOne’s components, targeting a long-term commercial price point that competes with Western humanoids.
  • Future Home Vision: While the current focus is enterprise-ready industrial help, Xiaomi is using 2026 as a launchpad to refine the "companion" aspects of the robot, with a roadmap to introduce a home-assistant version for the consumer market by the end of the decade.
